Does evolution eliminate the need for a creator? 2

“Clearly, Dawkins’ argument from evolution to atheism depends on the simultaneous validity of the following two assertions:

Assertion 1 Biological evolution is incompatible with the existence of a Creator.” P88

No,No, No and just No. Theists have put god beyond science; there’s nothing he can’t do. And so God, being omni-everything, can still be the invisible hand behind evolution. Even Dawkins would grant theists that logical extension of their fairy tale.

Well… No. Dawkins thinks this is cheating and arbitrary. He deliberately defines God as one in which science *can* have something to say about it. I think it would be more accurate to say that he would grant that it *is* a fairy tale. Logical extensions, he would then say, does not make it any less of a fairy tale.

You’ve said better what I wanted to say. I wanted to say that he’d say that if that fairy tale were to be treated as true, then that would be the logical extension of it.
